The Rotorua Golf Club, established in 1906, is located in the stunning geothermal area of Whakarewarewa. The club boasts a full 18-hole links-style course, where you play amongst natural hazards like steaming craters and bubbling mud pools.
Wairakei International Golf Course (special conditions apply) is a little further afield (30 minutes drive from Rotorua), but certainly worth the drive. If you are serious about your golf, Wairakei International Golf Course is a ‘must play’ while you are in New Zealand. This 18-hole championship course is simply outstanding, and has been rated in the top twenty courses in the world, outside the United States. The Par 72, 6429 metres course is nestled in 450 acres of stunning New Zealand landscape and features no less than 108 bunkers. All the facilities you would expect of a top-class international golf course are available for you to enjoy before or after your 18 holes.
Springfield Golf Club offers an excellent 18-hole championship course. An outstanding feature of the course is the position of the Number 1 Tee – atop the Club’s Pro Shop! Not only does it add to the challenge on the first hole, it offers you a superb view over the course you are about the play.
Lakeview Golf Club
Lakeview Golf Club has a covered driving range, a great warm-up before you tackle the highly-regarded 18-hole, Par 72 course. There are plenty of challenges for every golfer over the 5669 metres.
